The rain of the past 7-10 days has been necessary. The ground is way too hard to do any sort of work (like driving bolts into the ground to secure a swingset) and there will be plenty of time for us to have a climate change-induced drought later this summer.
So, the rain was welcome to Garden 2014, as was the abundance of sunshine that caused all sorts of flowering to occur on the tomatoes and beans.
The herbs are exploding and in need of a serious cutdown.
I’ll make that a weekend project.
