This year at Al Dente: What we ate

Of course it would be a M*A*S*H reference.

Another year is (basically) in the books. I just want to say thanks for your support. I basically took the first two months of the year off and returned with an rambling post from flyover country. This year ends with a look backward at where I’ve been and what I ate. 

I once said that this blog would be a celebration of being an eater. With that in mind, here are the top ten things that I ate this year (based on page views):

  1. Roasted chicken thighs and kale
  2. Stuffed poblano peppers
  3. Penne alla vodka with sauteed shrimp
  4. Tuscan pasta with sundried tomato basil cream sauce
  5. Guinness marinated chicken
  6. Shrimp and lemon-butter sauce over brown rice penne
  7. Orzo risotto with chicken thighs and spring vegetables
  8. Mojo flap steak with salsa verde
  9. Soba noodles with sweet ginger scallion sauce
  10. Eggplant, mozzarella, and saffron rice bake
